ABHI AND HIS KITE
One day Abhi was flying a kite with his friends in the field. It was a beautiful evening and everyone was having too much fun there. In the middle of the field, there was a banyan tree.
Hereby while playing Abhi’s kite gets tangled over one of the twigs of the banyan tree. Abhi tried immensely but could not get his kite back.
He thereafter calls his friends for help, but as his friends reach and access the situation. They demotivate Abhi by saying that, it’s next to impossible for any one of them to unleash the kite.
Hence they suggest him not try and waste his time on it. Instead, they invite him to join with them and play a new game.
THE THIRSTY CROW
Although Abhi did not want to lose his kite due to having a very deep affection for it. He always loved it flying.
Abruptly an old uncle comes and sits just next to him. He asks Abhi about his despondency, as he notices him rueful. Abhi tells the uncle about his worry.
This old was used to be considered as the wisest man of the villages and would be expected to have the answers to all the questions.
Thereafter uncle as expected comes up with an answer but in a unique way. Actually, uncle recites him the story of a thirsty crow.
THE WANDERING CROW
He flies all over the sky in the search of water and finally notices it far from him in a pot. The thirsty crow readily reaches out to the pot. But he gets there he notices that the water level was so down and he couldn’t drink it from that height.
THE CROW REFUSES TO LOSE AGAINST THE ODDS
The crow was so determined, Hence he rather than blaming his luck decided to solve the problem and show himself that he could do whatever he wished.
HE better knew that he was much giant than his problems. Also in that condition, he was more like a beggar who had nothing to lose but only to gain. Thereby he was even more fearless now.
THE CROW WINS AND SATISFIES HIS THRUST
Finally, after a while, the water level reaches near the top level. The clever crow then stops putting the stone and enjoys the chilled water on that summer day.
ABHI GETS HIS KITE
Abhi as the story ends gets so motivated from the story that he commences to think that he could also get his kite back if he does not stops trying to get it.
He thereafter gets a long cord and ties a stone using it and throws it directly to the twig the kite was tangled from. As he pulls the cord, the kite gets unleased voluntarily and Abhi again flies it in the sky and continues to play
