THE GOLDEN EGG STORY
The golden egg story is a very interesting moral story for kids. The golden egg story is the summary of a greedy poor man and a hen.
Soon he gets rich. But the faster he gets rich the faster he gets greedy too. Thereafter one day this greedy man does something which demolishes the source of income forever.
The summary teaches us to not be greedy and illuminates the repercussions of being greedy.
STORY OF THE GOLDEN EGG
THE POOR FARMER
A poor farmer was living in the village. He was struggling to survive in life moreover he had no family and would live alone. One day he was starving very badly as he came back from work. Thereby he needed something to eat.
He searches for food but finds nothing in the kitchen. Also, he knew that there was nobody to help him out in that situation and he had to procure food by himself alone.
Abruptly while he was musing all this, he notices a chicken sitting at the corner. He remembers that it was the same which he once brought for the market.
He gets so happy to see that and plans to cook it for lunch.
THE SPEAKING CHICKEN
But finally, the farmer catches her and brings her to the place where he planned to chop her. As the farmer holds the knife, the chicken speaks out to him saying to leave her alive.
The farmer on the other side was amused to find him talking to him. The farmer had never thought nor even heard of any speaking chicken by then.
But he was so hungry that this surprise could even not stop him to chop her. Whereas the chicken also wanted to save herself from this hungry farmer.
Finally, she offers him an offer which this time puts the farmer in dilemma. The innocent hen promises the farmer to give a golden egg every day. But the farmer does not believe her. He asks about the guarantee of the deal to the chicken. The innocent chicken on the other side had nothing to reply to the hungry farmer but to only request him to trust her. She thereafter even tells him to kill her, if she would not lay a golden egg the next day.
This time the farmer was rather convinced with the chicken’s suggestion. Thereby he leaves her alive and decides to wait for the next day.
The very next morning the farmer readily gets to the chicken to look for the golden egg. As the farmer reaches there, he witnesses a sparkling golden egg. He was so happy and equally bewildered to see it there. It was a real golden egg.
Thereafter the farmer starts selling the eggs laid by the chicken every day in the market. He also would earn a robust amount by selling it.
Each passing day the farmer gets rich to richer. And soon he was so prosperous that he would not even think whatsoever for a second to buy any extravagant thing. The farmer had enough assets now and he also would be considered as one of the richest people in the village.
THE TURNING POINT
Now the farmer had turned greedy and he was not satisfied by the chicken’s service. Actually, the farmer wanted to get even richer than he was. Also for this desire, he was ready to kill that chicken who actually helped him to get prosperous and independent.
But as the farmer kills the chicken expecting the bundle of golden eggs, He finds nothing but only disappointment. Thereafter the farmer cries, moans and even winces in internal pain. Also was repenting for his deed. But now all his regret went in futile and could not bring the chicken back. The farmer loses a source that had the potential to even make him the richest person in the world, Also he loses an incredible friend who would trust him immensely.
Because the chicken could also escape from his tentacle at the right time if she wished when she was left alive and given chance to laid eggs.
THE MORAL OF THE STORY OF THE GOLDEN EGG
This summary is a wonderful story for kids which has a bunch of moral lessons within it. The moral lessons help the children understand the difference between right and wrong deeds. Also, this will help them to realize the repercussions of the wrong decisions.
